Mandate
TEIBAS was founded to exclusively serve the 11,000 active and retired members of the IBEW Local 353, by providing cost-effective administrative services for the Trust Funds, advise the Trustees on matters pertaining to the administration of the Trust Funds; to support the Trustees in establishing prudent and effective policies and strategies to guide the administration of the Trust Funds and serve the best interests of the members; to implement the policies and strategies of the Trustees by utilizing advisors and service providers as approved by the Trustees, with an emphasis on benefit administration, operational policies and strategies; to assist the Trustees in coordinating and overseeing the Board’s advisors and service providers with the goal of managing the benefit plans in the most effective and cost-efficient manner; to assist the Trustees in monitoring the success and effectiveness of the benefit plans; to support the Trustees in strategic planning and risk management; and to assist in coordinating and delivering stakeholder communications.
